Customers located within 100 miles of Placentia will not be charged a travel fee. That means that in addition to restaurants and commercial dining facilities in Long Beach, establishments in cities including Glendora, Hesperia, Palmdale, Burbank, Simi Valley, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Pomona, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Santa Monica and Thousand Oaks will enjoy more competitive prices now that the travel fee has been eliminated.

Beverly Hills, CA Hood Installation Company Announces Travel-Fee Free Areas

August 5, 2009 —PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA— American Professional Services (APS-Hoods) now offers its Beverly Hills, CA hood installation services without charging an additional travel fee.

When Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., an affiliate of APS-Hoods, opened a satellite location in Placentia, CA earlier this month, it provided an opportunity for APS-Hoods to provide its Beverly Hills, CA hood cleaning customers with better rates, said Massoud Farazandeh, chief executive officer of APS-Hoods.

Businesses in other areas also will benefit from the satellite location, Farazandeh said. All restaurants and commercial kitchens located within 100 miles of Placentia no longer will be subject to a travel fee. That will effect businesses in cities including Long Beach, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Anaheim, San Bernardino, Glendale, Santa Clarita, San Fernando, San Diego, Oceanside and Ventura, to name a few.

"The number of California restaurants that we service continues to increase," Farazandeh said. “The more restaurants we service in a particular area, the more cost-effective it is for us and the customers.”

Some restaurant owners and managers may question whether APS-Hoods simply has increased its prices to cover travel costs, but that isn't the case, he said, adding that charging more for services would mean losing customers to his competitors.

APS-Hoods has provided services to California restaurants since the company began in 1989. But once word spread that Farazandeh’s affiliate company, Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., was opening a satellite location in Placentia, calls for hood cleaning services also increased.

“Our California business is growing by leaps and bounds and we are acquiring more work within this 100-mile area,” he said. “Now that the work is increasing, one service truck can respond to several service calls at a time, making it cost-effective for us and enabling us to pass along some savings to customers.”
